The following is a list of some of the organisations I worked at and the projects I was assigned to whilst at each client.

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council: Senior Analyst Programmer assigned to analyse, design and implement a Hub to feed local authority’s data into ContactPoint - a National repository that provides a quick way for practitioners to find out who else is working with a child and how to contact them at any particular time.

A crucial aspect for successfully delivering the project was to understand and adhere to strict government security and data communication requirements.

QBase: Senior Analyst Programmer developing a generic deduplication system on a number of direct marketing databases.

The deduplication process encompassed a variety of algorithms that had to be both accurate and efficient.

Deciding how to mix and match the available technologies, as well as ensuring the correctness of the results, was a crucial part of the solution.

Swinton Insurance: Data Analyst producing a series of MI reports for Swinton's Home and Motor Insurance websites.

The main activities involved fine-tunning database tables' indices and optimising existing queries to meet the business requirements.

The Gardiner-Caldwell Group: Involved in the design and implementation of an Intranet Medical Conference Management System for the Group’s Event Management Division.

Half of the team was based in the USA making communication and time difference tolerance an essential part of the job.

Private Client and International, Barclays: Worked on a variety of projects, ranging from Intranet Applications to stand alone “fat-client” executables to support Barclays' Private Clients and International business activities.

As a senior analyst I had to recommend innovative solutions for a variety of problems and to prepare proposals, requirements, functional specifications and test strategy documents.

BT FastTrack was an internal consultancy providing “Faster, Better and On Time” applications to the whole of the BT group.

I was responsible for the architecture, design and development of a Generic Data Loader for a custom built Web-Based Inventory System Repository containing IP information and their geographical location for one of BT’s customers. The system’s database included its own metaschema which allowed, potentially, an infinite number of data sources to be used to populate it.

Time Group Limited: I conducted and co-ordinated the full analysis, design and implementation of the Group’s Finance Data-Capture System.  To minimise maintenance and to achieve tighter business control a 3-tier distributed architecture was chosen.  The above system was installed on Touch-Screen EPOS systems in over 200 outlets throughout the UK.

Leeds & Holbeck Building Society (LHBS): Worked on their Distributed Mortgage Decision System that was being deployed over 65 of the organisation’s branches.

LHBS required a practical solution to carry on working with the above system even if any of the Data Servers became off-line. The implementation of such solution significantly improved the responsiveness of the system that led to increased efficiency of LHBS’ branch operators and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Rosenbaum Agencies (UK): To increase customer awareness and profits I designed and deployed RofermaWeb, the main website for Rosenbaum Agencies.
